St. Mark offers many opportunties for engagement that can help to make worship and fellowship at St. Mark additionally meaningful.

 

All Church

Tables of 8: "Tables of Eight" is a great opportunity for members and friends, singles and couples to become better acquainted with others in the St. Mark family by enjoying a relaxing meal together in a home or at a restaurant.

Getting to Know You:  A semi-annual event where members, friends and visitors get together to enjoy a catered reception of hors d'oeuvres, dessert, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.  It's a relaxing evening of fun and fellowship.  All are welcome to attend!  Childcare is provided.

All Church Picnic: An annual end of summer event of fun, food and fellowship featuring bounce houses, water slides and BBQ.  It's a great time to make new friends and reconnect with old ones. All are invited to attend!

Sacred Space:  a contemplative Lenten experience. Come. Be. With God.

 

Families

Mother's & Other's:  Offers friendship, support and spiritual nurture to mothers of young children.  Meetings feature guest speakers, Bible Study, discussion, and prayer.  Childcare is available for all gatherings, except outings with children.

Parents Night Out:  St. Mark's version of a co-op.  Take one turn caring for the kids and enjoy 3 or 4 Saturday evenings on your own.  Kids love playing iwth their friends.  Parents love getting to know one another and the chance to get-away for a few hours.

Family Retreat:  annual Fall get-away for fun and fellowship.  Kids enjoy special guided activities, grown-ups get the change to talk about what it means to raise faithful children.  Everyone loves hiking, swimming, and s'mores!

Advent Seasonal Celebrations: Family gatherings at Advent and Easter designed to help children and grown-ups share and grow in faith.

 

Young Adults

St. Mark's active group of young adults meets each Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for discussion, study, fellowship and prayer.  Bringing together those in their 20s - 30s, YAG also gathers for service projects and social events.  Activities include participating in the annual Orange County AIDS Walk, serving meals at Some Cares Soup Kitchen in Costa Mesa, movies, meals, bowling, and the annual Academy Awards party!

 

Women

Women's Retreat:  held each winter.  A weekend set apart for rest, renewal, and reflection.

Women's Book Study: Lively discussion and shared leadership characterize this ongoing gathering of book lover's, who select the books to be read.

 

Men

Men's Breakfast: Offers a brief mid-week respite and the chance to discuss a variety of topics, including current events, issues of relevance to St. Mark, and ...whatever!

Carpenter's Breakfast:  The men of St. Mark will meet on the fourth Sunday of each month before worship each month. All ages... teens to seniors...are invited.  This will be an opportunity for the men of St. Mark - members and friends - to get to know each other and share the experience of hearing excellent presentations on subjects of genuine interest.
